The CBA Criminal Justice Section monitors and evaluates:
- Federal and provincial legislation creating offences and crimes
- Criminal courts in Canada, including their establishment, jurisdiction, procedures and organizational structure
- Practice of lawyers before criminal courts in Canada
- Other matters related to administration of the criminal justice system
