On June 5, 2026, join us online for our webinar Advance Requests for MAiD – Where are we in Canada and what can we learn from Quebec? This Webinar will provide an overview of the state of advance requests in Canada, the difference between waiver of consent and an advance request, and address how lawyers can advise their clients when they wish to document an advance request in wills and powers of attorney.
CBA Nominations – Health Law Executive:
Communications Officer
The Communications Officer is expected to attend meetings and conference calls and is responsible for keeping Section members informed of key Section activities, upcoming events, and opportunities to get involved in the work of the Section. The Communications Officer also engages law students, articling students and young lawyers.
The Communications Officer sequentially occupies each office through to Past Chair, which involves a 5-year commitment.
Members-at-Large
Member-at-Large positions are open to Section members who wish to actively participate in the work of the Section. Members-at-Large attend meetings and conference calls as they are able and provide input or take responsibility for various tasks as they arise. There are many opportunities to assist.
Young lawyers and students with a particular interest or relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
