Biography
I am a lawyer, investigator and mediator, with a unique combination of legal expertise and extensive hands-on human resources management and labour relations experience. I am also a Chartered Professional in Human Resources. Prior to being called to the British Columbia Bar, I was a Human Resources Manager at the University of British Columbia and Labour Relations Advisor to Vancouver Community College. I founded Integritas Workplace Law in 2014 after practicing for several years with "BigLaw", in downtown Vancouver. My practice focuses on all aspects of employment and labour law including advising on employment and labour issues arising in the context of business transactions. I have significant expertise in conducting workplace investigations, developing human resources policies, resolving workplace conflicts, bullying and harassment prevention, disability, accommodation and human rights issues, and workplace restructuring. I also provide general human resources support, coaching and training, and workplace investigation services to employers. I am qualified mediator and a member of the ADR Institute of BC and the ADR Institute of Canada. I am a regular speaker and presenter on workplace law topics at CLEs and other conferences and a firm believer in giving back to the community through volunteering with the CBA both nationally and provincially as well as through mentoring. I mentor junior lawyers, human resources professionals, and law and business students through the Women Lawyers Mentoring Program, the CPHR BC & Yukon Mentoring Program, the CBA/UBC Law Faculty Mentoring Program and the SFU Beedie School of Business Mentoring Program. My "non-law" interests include travelling, music, current affairs, and sports.Member(s)/Membre(s)
