Here are the conferences planned for this fall:
CBA Leadership Conference for Professional Women
Oct. 20-21, 2017 – Calgary
A highlight of this conference will be plenary speaker Rumana Monzur, who was blinded by her husband in Bangladesh because she wanted to continue her education. She has since earned a Master’s degree and a law degree at UBC and is articling at DLA Piper in Vancouver.
CBA Competition Law Fall Conference
Oct. 26-27, 2017 – Ottawa
The theme of this year’s conference is protecting and promoting innovation.
CBA Access to Information and Privacy Law Symposium
Oct. 27-28, 2017 – Ottawa
This year’s conference will feature a session on CASL legislation, including the delayed enacting of the private right of action provisions and possible changes to the legislation in light of the delay.
