Who can I refer?
Anyone who is new to the CBA or hasn't been a member in the past 24 months and is eligible to complete an Active (Regular), Special, or Judicial membership application during the Campaign Period.  

Articling students qualify; Law Students & Honorary members do not qualify. 

1. During the Campaign Period, complete the referral form after renewing your 2026/2027 CBA membership.
2. Ask your colleague to enter your name in the referral field when they apply for CBA membership. The referral must be named on the application — it cannot be added or changed afterward.

The credit goes to whoever is listed on the application. Only one referrer name can be listed.

Yes, but you'll only receive one referral incentive regardless of how many referrals you make.

Once the new member's application is approved and pre-authorized payment is set up. You'll get an email confirmation and your promotional discount coupon within four weeks.

• Promotional PD Discounts must be used within the 2026–2027 membership year ending August 31, 2027. They expire at year-end with no extensions.
• Promotional PD Discounts are valid for personal-use only, non-transferable and cannot be combined with other promotions or redeemed for cash.

• CBA may disqualify referrals that do not meet the eligibility criteria or are inconsistent with the requirements under the Terms and Conditions. If a referred membership is cancelled, the associated offer for such referred member may be revoked.
• The CBA may modify or end the campaign at any time, subject to applicable laws.
• Personal information is handled in accordance with the CBA Privacy Policy.
