Description
Cook Roberts LLP is seeking a litigator (1-3 year call) to join the firm. The successful candidate will work closely with a more senior litigator, while also having the opportunity to handle increasingly complex files on their own. This position offers excellent mentorship and learning opportunities, in a supportive environment and provides a strong platform on which to build a successful long-term practice.
The firm’s litigation practice is focused on the areas of commercial, real estate, estate, employment and construction litigation. The ideal candidate is a good writer and possesses a strong work ethic and growth mindset. They enjoy collaborating as a valued member of a high-performing team and have a long-term vision for their career.
Qualifications:
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia (or another Canadian law society);
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills;
- Proven ability to analyze legal issues and provide effective, timely advice;
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as well as to run their own files; and
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collegial team.
