VERMEER LAW OFFICE is looking to bring on an associate, with a future partnership option available.
Our office has a legacy of assisting the people of Dryden and the surrounding area with their legal needs for over 50 years, and we plan to continue that tradition for decades more!
We are currently a solo firm (one lawyer, 5 staff), with an office in downtown Dryden with room to grow. Our practice areas currently focus on Real Estate, Small Business Management, and Estates; though our firm has in the past had lawyers who handled Criminal and Family work, up until the recent retirement of one partner 3 years ago. We are now looking to hire an associate to take on Criminal and Family work once more. Dryden currently has no lawyers in private practice handling Criminal or Family work, so those practice areas offer plenty of opportunity!
You would also be anticipated to take on some Real Estate matters, even just on a very limited basis whenever our firm represents both sides in a transaction. Beyond that you would be given plenty of freedom to make your practice your own!
Starting salary is negotiable based on your years/level of experience, with partial commission options available as well. Partnership would be on the table within as little as 3 years if desired.
We are a small firm in a small town, and we are looking for someone who will appreciate those elements, and enjoy living and working in beautiful Northwest Ontario. They don't call it “Sunset Country” for nothing!
