We are currently searching for an Associate Lawyer to join our Corporate/Commercial Business Law Group. We are the advisors of choice for many of the most reputable and successful businesses in Southeastern Ontario, based in the city and in the rural communities along the 401 corridor. We are the go-to business law team for long-standing private companies and innovative new companies leading significant economic development in our region. Our business law team of experienced lawyers and highly competent staff provide a full suite of business law services, including corporate restructuring, contracting, financing, M&A transactions, governance, and strategic advice to businesses and owners. We have clean energy / clean tech expertise and are counsel to clean energy industry companies across Ontario and Canada. We offer transactional, financing, and corporate life cycle advice and services to private companies at all stages and have a specialized IT/IP lawyer and trademark agent on our team. We work closely with leading tax/accounting firms between Ottawa and Toronto to set companies and families up for long term success.
The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 5 years’ experience in commercial and business law, strong interpersonal, communication and practice management skills, and a desire for continuous learning and growth. This job involves a lot of direct interactions with business owners in real time and judgement, integrity, and character are valued attributes.
