The Opportunity
The WCB is currently seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance Services team.
As a Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in identifying and addressing non-compliance with the Workers Compensation Act. From conducting thorough research to performing inspections and supporting enforcement, you’ll develop and implement strategies to improve compliance with WCB rules.
- Research & Analyze: Uncover potential compliance risks through detailed research and data analysis.
- Audit & Inspect: Conduct inspections and audits with employers to assess compliance, offering guidance, clarifying regulations, and building effective working relationships.
- Develop Strategies: Collaborate with the team to create and refine strategies for addressing non-compliance and evaluate their success.
What You Bring:
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to spot compliance issues from a mile away.
- Experience in compliance or regulatory roles – preferably in a legal or workplace safety-focused environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain complex regulations and provide actionable advice.
