We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Lawyer to join our Solicitor Department in Kingston, Ontario. This opportunity is ideally suited for a new call or lawyer with up to two years of experience who is looking to develop a rewarding solicitor practice.

Working closely with experienced lawyers, you will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience, assume increasing responsibility, and build strong client relationships in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth. The successful candidate will receive dedicated mentorship and guidance while developing practical skills and building a successful long-term practice.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Up to 2 years of legal practice experience or a recent call to the Ontario Bar; for candidates with prior practice experience, exposure to real estate, corporate/commercial, or wills and estates law is preferred
  • A positive attitude and growth mindset, demonstrating a willingness to learn, adapt, embrace feedback, and approach challenges constructively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, practical legal documents and communicate effectively with clients and other professionals
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and a client-focused approach to legal service
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Exceptional organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and meet competing deadlines
  • Proficiency with legal technology, document management systems, and standard office software

We offer a competitive compensation package, including an annual salary range of $85,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience, bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a collegial workplace where lawyers are encouraged to build fulfilling, long-term careers.
