About us
MCM Law LLP is a women-led commercial finance and realization boutique serving exclusively the needs of financial institutions, court-appointed officers, and private lenders on a broad range of matters including aircraft finance, lending involving Indigenous groups and lands, real estate construction and development, and most other areas of commercial finance, realization and insolvency.
The opportunity
We are seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our Realization Team in our Vancouver office.
In this role, you will be exposed to a variety of challenging and rewarding matters, including:
- Commercial recovery and related litigation;
- Mortgage enforcement and foreclosures;
- Personal property security realization;
- Bankruptcy and receiverships; and
- Negotiated resolutions and work outs.
This is an opportunity to develop your practice. From day one, you will run your own files, work directly with clients, and appear in court.
What we are looking for
- 1 - 4 years of relevant post-call private practice legal experience (ideally in insolvency and recovery), along with strong academic credentials.
- A keen interest in commercial realization and insolvency law.
- High standards of professionalism in customer service, attention to detail, teamwork, clear communication, and a strong commitment to growth and improvement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
