About the Organization
The Mercury Disability Board (MDB) administers a disability benefits scheme established pursuant to the Grassy Narrows and Islington Indian Bands Mercury Pollution Claims Settlement Act, S.C. 1986, arising from the devastating mercury contamination of the English and Wabigoon Rivers in Northwestern Ontario.
