EXPLORING AIR AND SPACE LAW
The CBA Air and Space Law Section’s mandate includes the law and legal practice related to owning or operating aircraft. It also covers issues of interest to lawyers dealing with matters related to air and space law. Our members include in-house counsel and private practitioners from across Canada. We offer opportunities to connect with industry stakeholders and interact with those affected by aviation law.
We keep our members up-to-date in all aspects of air and space law, including issues related to labour, the environment, regulation, financing and liability. We track and share issues stemming from governing bodies such as:
- Transport Canada
- Canadian Transportation Agency
- Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada
- Federal Aviation Administration
- European Aviation Safety Agency
- International Civil Aviation Organization
- International Air Transport Association
Our Section liaises regularly with:
- Air Transport Association of Canada
- The American Bar Association Forum on Air and Space Law
- McGill Institute of Air and Space Law
