Promotion of Non-CBA PD Events
Non-CBA PD Events
PD promotional material offered by outside organizations will not be e-mailed to CBA members or promoted on the CBA Website. Links to the websites of educational programs offered by "friendly organizations"* may only be posted if, in the judgment of the Director of Professional Development, there is no conflict with CBA programming in the areas of subject matter, location, target audience or timing.
* Friendly organizations are usually non-profits with a history of cooperation with the CBA or that are aligned with the CBA’s vision and mission statement.
Events Co-Sponsored by the CBA
In very limited cases, CBA might officially co-sponsor non-competing conferences that are presented by "friendly organizations". Co-sponsorship is limited to events identified as not conflicting with any CBA programming in the areas of subject matter, location, target audience or timing. Programs meeting this requirement must first obtain Section and PD approval. In order to qualify as a co-sponsored event, the CBA logo and sponsoring Section(s) must be recognized in those conference materials. Programs meeting these requirements may be treated in the same manner as CBA PD programs, and may be e-mailed to members in keeping with the overall e-mail blast policy.
