Sabrina A. Bandali
Biographie
Sabrina A. Bandali practices public and international law at Bennett Jones LLP, with a focus on trade, anti-corruption and investment law. As a litigator, Sabrina has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario, before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, in customs disputes with the Canadian Border Services Agency, and in international treaty arbitration. She provides strategic advice to Canadian and international companies on anti-corruption and regulatory compliance and is an active member of Transparency International - Canada.
Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Sabrina crafted a unique practice as an "ad hoc associate" for litigators, trade lawyers and in-house counsel. Senior lawyers retained Sabrina to assist on files as needed, permitting them to have the benefit of a skilled junior lawyer while avoiding the overhead cost of a full-time associate. In this capacity, Sabrina honed her skills in legal research and drafting, making court appearances and acting as "second chair" on matters before the Commercial List, Ontario Superior Court and Ontario Court of Appeal.
While attending the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, Sabrina competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and was the top oralist in the Canadian National Tournament.
Sabrina dreams of retiring to be a theatre producer, and in the meantime is active in the arts community. Sabrina appeared in Nightwood Theatre's Lawyer Show production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (Feste), Comedy of Errors (Duchess Solinus) and Much Ado About Nothing (Conrade). In 2014, she produced the critically-acclaimed Canadian premiere of Clare Bayley's The Container.
