Next edition of anti-corruption handbook now available March 09, 2017 The 2017 edition of the book Global Corruption: Law, Theory and Practice is now available online. The first of its kind when it was first published in 2015, the course book on anti-corruption was written by University of Victoria law professor Gerry Ferguson. CBA’s Anti-Corruption Team sponsors the book.
Spotlight on toolkits March 09, 2017 Two new toolkits are coming this spring to help CBA members improve their practice. The first, presented by the CBA National Criminal Law Section, walks lawyers through the “collateral consequences” of a criminal charge and/or sentence for their clients. The second is a primer on children’s rights from the Children’s Law Committee.
Gone fishin’: What else do you do in the NWT in February? March 09, 2017 CBA National President René Basque visited Yukon Territory and the Northwest Territories in February, and partook of some of the local entertainments while he was there. That included a day of ice-fishing on Great Slave Lake with members of the NWT executive and council.
