Eligibility and Commitments

  • Must be able to commit to join the CBA and the Immigration Law Section as a member by September 1, 2023 if accepted to the mentorship program
  • Practicing exclusively or primarily immigration law or planning to do so within the next year
  • No more than two years since call to the Bar in Canada, and no more than two years of experience practicing immigration law in Canada
  • Commitment to participate in at least one Section Committee or Working Group during the mentorship term
  • Commitment to spending at least one hour per month (virtually or in person) with their assigned Mentor during the mentorship period
  • Willingness to be showcased as a Mentee
