A new chapter on election financing has been added to the course book “Global Corruption: Law, Theory and Practice” which is available on the CBA website. The CBA’s Anti-Corruption Team sponsored and reviewed the first edition of the book written by Professor Gerry Ferguson at the University of Victoria.

The 2017 edition of the book Global Corruption: Law, Theory and Practice is now available online. The first of its kind when it was first published in 2015, the course book on anti-corruption was written by University of Victoria law professor Gerry Ferguson. CBA’s Anti-Corruption Team sponsors the book.

Canada joins the US, Britain and three other countries in setting up the International Anti-Corruption Coordination Centre to crack down on global corruption.

The Supreme Court of Canada in World Bank Group v. Wallace upheld archival and personal immunities of the World Bank Group, and its anti-corruption investigators. The decision acknowledges the importance of ongoing efforts in the global fight against corruption.

On April 4, 2016, the Government of Canada announced updates to its Integrity Regime, which include amendments to the Integrity Provisions and the Ineligibility and Suspension Policy.

On July 3, 2015 the Government of Canada released their new Integrity Regime replacing the previous PWGSC Integrity Framework. The new regime includes a number of changes recommended by CBA-ACT.

The CBA’s Anti-Corruption Team wrote to the Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada outlining concerns about the current Integrity Framework.

Public Works and Government Services Canada is considering amending their Integrity Framework.
