The members of the CBA Small Solo and General Practice Section are some of the hardest working and busiest lawyers in Canada. We often do not have the time and resources we need to work on our businesses while serving our clients and staying involved in our communities.
We are one of the smallest sections in the CBA, but our members have the most to offer. They also benefit the most from staying connected to like-minded professionals and making use of the resources offered by the CBA, like this new resource geared at helping small and solo firms work through the pandemic.
We are looking for folks from across the country to help our section grow in numbers and influence, while growing your professional network and gaining access to resources. You can get involved in two ways:
- Join our executive! This is a minor time commitment, with one-hour virtual meetings approximately every 6 weeks. The nomination deadline is June 1 of each year, but we will still accept nominations informally, on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
- For an even easier way to get involved, simply join our section! You will receive notice of new resources, be subscribed to our blast emails, and be the first to learn of new developments in the section, with no further action required after you join. You can also sign up for many other sections on this same site. Check it out and make sure you are getting the most out of your CBA membership!
If you have any questions about these options, or would like to learn more, please contact us.
Thank you for taking the time to read and share.
All the best,
Candace K. Guist
