CBA NEERLS & DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE MEETING – NOVEMBER 30, 2023
The program will include presentations on Indigenous involvement and other considerations for project development, as well as the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples at the federal level.
The recent amendments to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 will also be discussed. In addition, participants will hear from Jeffery Dennis, chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources, about recent developments in the United States around electricity and the implications for Canada.
