Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to bring you the latest issue of The Marker, the newsletter of the Criminal Matters Committee of the CBA Competition Law Section.

The Marker is one of many ways the Criminal Matters Committee promotes and contributes to the important work of the Section. Our committee also sponsors and co-sponsors several brown bag sessions throughout the year. Every year, we also host a Town Hall amongst members of the bar and a Roundtable discussion between the bar and the Competition Bureau.

Our committee is always looking for future contributions to The Marker. Please be in touch.

This issue of The Marker looks at three important developments from 2019: John Bodrug and Charles Tingley examine the recent use of prohibition orders to address criminal conduct; Anisha Visvanatha and D. Michael Brown discuss the global downturn in immunity and leniency applications; and Sean Stephenson provides a quick round-up of the publicly available information surrounding the ongoing Torstar-Postmedia investigation.

We trust you will find the articles in this issue of interest.
