Collaboration with External Groups

Liaison and partnerships with external groups can often benefit Section members and the Association.

It is important to ensure that CBA staff is informed, in advance, if your group wishes to designate someone to represent your Section at a meeting or on a committee (once or on an ongoing basis) so that they can assist with approvals and clarify protocol as needed. In all cases, the policy on Responsibilities of Members appointed CBA Representatives to Boards, Agencies, Coalitions and other entities applies. If participation in a coalition or any joint action with other organizations is contemplated, please refer to the Coalitions Policy.

The Promotion of Non-CBA Events Policy clarifies options if Sections are asked to co-sponsor a non-CBA conference or to promote conferences organized by external organizations.
