About This Conflicts of Interest Toolkit

Welcome to the CBA’s Conflicts of Interest Toolkit. The original version of these materials was prepared by the CBA Task Force on Conflicts of Interest and published in August 2008. Given changes to the relevant professional conduct rules, case law and the contexts in which law is practiced, the CBA Ethics and Professional Responsibility Subcommittee undertook to update these materials in 2020. The toolkit includes practical checklists and precedents to use and adapt for your practice.
