A book comparing personal property law in the western and indigenous traditions is this year’s winner of the Walter Owen Book Prize, which recognizes excellent legal writing and outstanding new contributions to Canadian legal doctrine.

The Competition Law Section’s year is off to a strong start, starting with its most successful Competition Law Fall Conference ever. More than 250 delegates from across the country gathered in Ottawa in September to share knowledge, experiences, and advice regarding all areas of competition law. And the CBA has entered the fray with its own podcast channel, The Every Lawyer, which has been growing a strong following since its launch in October.
