The CBA sent a submission to the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security regarding Bill C-23.

The CBA has asked the Minister of Health to accelerate plans to implement a monitoring system for medical assistance in dying.

The Canadian Bar Association’s Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Community Forum wrote a letter to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness raising its concerns regarding Gender Identity and Expression Rights in Corrections.

In the recent federal budget, the government announced its proposal to eliminate billed-basis accounting for income-tax purposes. Billed-basis accounting means you aren’t taxed on your work-in-progress – you only pay tax on what you bill.
