POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Sales Coordinator, Sponsorship and Partnerships, is responsible for sourcing sponsorship for the CBA’s various conferences, events, and online webinars, while also assisting in the procurement of advertisers, job board posters, and preferred suppliers. This is a new position at the CBA due to increased interest and demand for sponsorship, advertising, job postings and the CBA Advantage preferred supplier program.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the sales team by managing schedules, filing documents, and communicating relevant information
- Ensure the adequacy of sales-related equipment or material
- Respond to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested
- Store and sort financial and non-financial data in electronic form and present reports
- Handle the processing of all orders with accuracy and timeliness
- Inform clients of unforeseen delays or problems
- Monitor the team’s progress, identify shortcomings, and propose improvements
- Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events
- Ensure adherence to laws and policies, e.g., privacy legislation
- Create and coordinate organizational and tracking tools including prospect and booking lists, critical paths, revenue tracking, and payments
- Assist in the creation of sales collateral including producing sales and sponsorship brochures, pricing lists, proposals, agreements, invoices, benefit charts and marketing materials
- Provide research and lead creation support by investigating potential sponsor prospects, new marketplace leads, potential advertisers or suppliers of interest
- Assist in the preparation of follow up communication including thank you notes, post-event ROI reports, wrap up reports, client summaries or renewal/rebooking pursuits
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; certification in sales or marketing will be an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
Experience
A minimum 3 years of experience in a sales coordinator or sponsorship role within a non-profit and/or member-based association. Equivalencies will be considered.
Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in sales; experience as a sales coordinator or in other administrative positions will be considered an asset
- Demonstrable work experience with online sales tools and social media
- Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, experience with PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills and adherence to strict deadlines
- A client service approach through interaction with staff members, directors, executive directors and external suppliers
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, and as a part of a team
- Bilingualism is preferred (English and French)
