The CBA Access to Justice Subcommittee: Volunteer in Profile Award recognizes CBA members who have demonstrated an outstanding contribution to Pro Bono work in Canada or their jurisdiction.
Eligibility
- A lawyer who has contributed in any or all of the following areas:
- Delivering Pro Bono legal services
- Assisting with the establishment of Pro Bono law programs
- Coordinating Pro Bono legal services
- Education and advocacy to promote a Pro Bono culture in the legal profession
- Legal research/reform relating to Pro Bono legal services
- Canadian Bar Association membership is a prerequisite.
Nomination procedure
- Submission of a Volunteer in Profile Award nomination form
- Each submission must include a brief summary stating reasons for the candidate’s nomination, including their accomplishments

Selection process
- The recipient will be chosen by the CBA Access to Justice Subcommittee.
The Volunteer in Profile award will be awarded annually. The award recipient will be recognized on the Access to Justice Subcommittee webpage.
