ADVOCACY HIGHLIGHTS
In addition to launching the CBA Trans Access to Justice Report, the Section led and collaborated on multiple submissions, including a joint letter on International Parentage and Surrogacy Agreements, on HIV non-disclosure and a letter on Non-Consensual and Medically Unnecessary Surgeries on Intersex Minors. Other ongoing work includes a letter urging the federal government to introduce legislation preventing Hate Crimes against the 2SLGBTQI+ community and a shadow report to Canada’s report under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
