It is with honour and humility that I have taken on the role of Section Chair as of September 1, 2021. I am writing to outline the national Section’s priorities, which will be the focus of our Executive Committee.
Considering the Section’s strong and active regional branch participation, it is the view of the Executive that our Section should become the forum for Canadian insurance practitioners to discuss national issues or to share important lessons learned in each jurisdiction. COVID-19 related insurance issues will certainly be a primary focus, with changes in automobile insurance liability systems being another.
Clearly, our preference is to share experiences in-person – and time will tell if an event can be organized. However, for now, we will be working on offering online programing that we hope will be of interest. Details will be communicated once confirmed.
