During these unprecedented times, the Section Executive has met regularly by video conference to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on matters of concern to our Section and the Construction and Infrastructure Industry across Canada.
We canvassed our Section members across Canada and have prepared a chart detailing the status of Construction and Legal Matters as a result of COVID-19. As events unfold, we will continue to update this chart and make it available to CBA members. If you have corrections or additions, or if the chart falls out of date, please contact the CBA directly at marcao@cba.org. Our intention is that resource stays as up to date as possible.
The other pressing issue is whether our biennial Fall Conference scheduled for October 22-24, 2020 in Montreal should go ahead as planned or be rescheduled.
Before making this decision, we would very much like your input. To that end, we ask that you complete and return this short survey as soon as possible (prior to May 4, 2020). Your input will be key to our decision-making, so please take the time to complete the survey. We appreciate the incredibly difficult position that most people find themselves in; we too are struggling through the effects of this pandemic.
Be safe and be well, and we look forward to hearing from you.
Yours,
Andrew Heal
Chair, CBA Construction and Infrastructure Law Section
