Dear Section members,
The Constitutional and Human Rights Law Section is a hub for legal developments and activities related to constitutional and human rights law in Canada. The Section contributes to national policy, comments on legislative initiatives and is often consulted on a broad array of constitutional and human rights law issues. The Section contributes to the CBA End-of-Life Working Group, the CBA Pay Equity Working Group, the CBA Children’s Law Committee and offers its range of expertise across CBA Sections.
Our members get access to the latest news, resources, submissions and articles. Check out our website and meet the 2017-2018 executive.
The Section has several committees and would welcome expressions of interest from those wanting to get involved. You would have the opportunity to:
- Assist with three webinars planned for the coming year
- Contribute to our advocacy efforts
- Contribute to Section communications
- Assist the Section on how to best engage with students and young lawyers
The Section values diversity and strongly encourages young lawyers and members from all practice environments and geographic regions to get involved.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Veronica L. Jackson
