Section Members,
Welcome to March! Whether you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, March Madness or are simply hoping for less snow shovelling in your daily routine, there is plenty to look forward to as we turn the corner into spring.
CBA Competition Law Conference
Coming up soon is the Section’s Annual Spring Conference to be held in Toronto on May 10th. We’re looking forward to an engaging discussion of some of the hot antitrust topics from an international perspective, including the latest on “hipster” antitrust, abuse of dominance in the digital era and cartels and leniency developments around the globe. We’ll also hear from the Commissioner of Competition in his annual address. We were delighted that the Section’s Fall Conference sold out, so be sure to mark your calendars and register.
For younger lawyers and economists, the annual Young Lawyer Symposium is set for April 20th in Ottawa. Please watch for more details from the Young Lawyers Committee.
CBA Submissions
Since our November update, the Section (with the assistance of its various committees) has prepared submissions on a variety of topics:
Upcoming Brown Bags and Roundtables
The Section’s committees continue to plan a full slate of brown bag programming on various topics. Thus far, our committees have held approximately 10 brown-bag programs.
Keep an eye out for upcoming brown bags in the areas of advertising, efficiencies and document discovery/production as well as the very popular roundtables. In March, register for Paper, Rock, Privilege - Document Production in an Age of the Million Document Case.
