On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking experienced Health Law litigators to join our growing network and support our clients who are at the forefront of healthcare delivery and innovation in Canada.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Health Law Litigator, you will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel to healthcare professionals and organizations across Canada. The role involves offering legal advice, managing litigation, and educating clients on regulatory and risk management issues within the healthcare industry. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping legal practices that impact healthcare delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide legal advice and support to healthcare professionals on issues related to their practice and regulatory obligations.

Review, analyze, and interpret legal documents pertaining to healthcare law.

Offer guidance and support to clients involved in litigation or legal proceedings.

Strategically manage the conduct of litigation and legal processes across various Canadian jurisdictions.

Ensure thorough documentation of legal services in line with professional standards and policies.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Draft articles and thought leadership content on relevant health law subjects.

Conduct legal research and provide opinions on various corporate legal issues.

Represent clients in external committees and working groups, offering legal insights on healthcare regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
A Canadian law degree (LL.B or J.D.)

Licensed to practice common law in a Canadian province or territory
-
At least 5 years of civil litigation experience (mandatory), with at least 3 years in Health Law (preferred)

Familiarity with regulated healthcare professions is an asset

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to travel across Canada as needed

Willingness to relocate to Ottawa.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
