BOARD MEETING MINUTES NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE
Want to know what goes on at Board meetings? In November, the National Board of the CBA resolved to provide greater transparency to members by publishing its minutes online, behind a member wall. Minutes of all Board meetings from November onward will be available. Minutes for the Governance and Equality Committee meetings are also now available on the Committee’s web page.
AFTER IGGILLIS HOLDINGS: PROTECTING PRIVILEGE WHEN GIVING COMMON LEGAL ADVICE
The Federal Court’s ruling in IGGillis Holdings affirms that sharing legal advice with transacting parties, or working with other parties’ lawyers to develop that advice, will not waive solicitor-client privilege, writes Mark Tonkovich, who led the CBA’s intervention in the case.
