March 31st is International Transgender Day of Visibility. Join us on the occasion, by reflecting upon the progress that has been made and the challenges that remain.
Among the resolutions that were passed at the recent CBA annual general meeting were a call to combat transphobia and homophobia, and a call to end harmful education policies.
As leaders in the legal community, we must stand up for transgender rights. Misinformation, violence, and other forms of hate must never be tolerated. We must create and protect gender-affirming spaces for trans colleagues, clients, family, and friends to live authentically and with dignity. At the CBA, we continue to advocate for transgender rights and other constitutionally protected human rights, and we celebrate transgender visibility.
