The Competition Law Section’s year is off to a strong start, starting with its most successful Competition Law Fall Conference ever. More than 250 delegates from across the country gathered in Ottawa in September to share knowledge, experiences, and advice regarding all areas of competition law. Save the date for the 2019 Spring Conference – coming up on May 7, 2019 in Toronto.

CBA Sections have a bunch of essay contests in need of high-quality submissions. Why apply? These contests can help you build your profile within the legal community, connect with senior members of the bar, and hone your research and writing skills. What’s more, we award $250–$2,500 in cash prizes for the best submissions.

You’ve heard of them. You’ve probably listened to some – you may even have a few favourites. Podcasts are experiencing an explosive growth in popularity. And the CBA has entered the fray with its own podcast channel, The Every Lawyer, which has been growing a strong following since its launch in October.

The CBA’s popular Skilled Lawyer Series is back with a total of 16 webinars over two streams to help you improve your litigation and transactional skills, and accumulate up to 12 hours of CPD credits per stream in just a few months.
