John Stefaniuk elected as Vice President of the Canadian Bar Association

Ottawa, February 7, 2022 - The Canadian Bar Association is pleased to announce that John Stefaniuk, the CBA Board member from Manitoba, has been elected to the position of Vice President for 2022-2023.

Called to the bar in Manitoba in 1988, Mr. Stefaniuk is a partner with the Winnipeg-based law firm of Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP.

John Stefaniuk’s involvement in the Canadian Bar Association is extensive: he has served as President of the Manitoba Bar Association and previously sat on the National Board in 2006-07. He will assume the vice-presidential role in September 2022, when Vice President Steeves Bujold becomes President.

  • Active volunteer in the CBA International Initiatives/Global Affairs Canada SIRD (Supporting Inclusive Resource Development) project in East Africa.
