TORONTO – The Canadian Bar Association’s (CBA) Canadian Corporate Counsel Association (CCCA) has announced that BMO Financial Group’s, Legal & Compliance Group of Toronto, ON is the winner of the 2016 CCCA Innovation Award.
Recognizing a CCCA in-house member or group who is doing things differently to create value on behalf of or for the benefit of a law department or organization, the 2016 Innovation Award will be presented to BMO’s Legal & Compliance Group.
This group introduced the Innovative Team Challenge to support the overall productivity and efficiency goals of the enterprise. The Innovative Team Challenge uses a grassroots approach in the form of a competition to generate a culture of innovation and productivity within the Legal & Compliance Group.
According to BMO, this innovation has fostered collaboration, and encouraged members of the Legal & Compliance Group to work outside of their own functions. It has also brought them closer to their business colleagues, and provided perspective on other areas of their group, and the bank’s operating businesses.
The Innovation Award will be presented at the CCCA’s 2016 National Conference during the afternoon of Monday, April 4, 2016 in Calgary, AB, along with the CCCA’s other awards.
Media accreditation for this event may be obtained by contacting Hannah Bernstein.
An integral group within the 36,000-member CBA, the CCCA is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the interests of Canadian corporate counsel. CCCA provides uniquely Canadian perspectives, resources, tools, professional development, conferences and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.
