Toronto – The Canadian Bar Association’s (CBA) Canadian Corporate Counsel Association (CCCA) has announced that Lawna Hurl of Calgary is the winner of the 2015 CCCA Up and Comer Award.
Lawna Hurl, Senior Legal Counsel at Niska Gas Storage Partners LLC is an avid volunteer, within the CBA where she dedicates her time to the CCCA Southern Alberta section, the CCCA National Executive Committee and many other CBA groups. She is past Chair and is a current member on the Board of Directors of Calgary Legal Guidance and a current Board of Directors member for the Women’s Centre of Calgary. Ms. Hurl is described as a true driving force and a wonderful role model for her peers. Highly respected by colleagues and the legal community, she represents the best qualities of a lawyer, and of a leader.
The Up and Comer Award recognizes a CCCA in-house member with less than 15 years in-house who demonstrates strong participation at any level within the profession, the CCCA, and the organization that they serve.
The award will be presented during the CCCA’s Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Sunday evening, April 19, 2015 in Toronto. This event is part of the 2015 CCCA National Conference.
