Law For the Future Fund grants focus on assistance for vulnerable populations

The Law for the Future Fund (LFFF) grants awarded this year will to go to support and protect some of the most vulnerable persons in Canada. The eight recipients of grants will assist these less fortunate individuals – a range that includes new migrants to Canada, incarcerated persons and individuals with low literacy skills — through research, education, technology, and tools.

New Truth and Reconciliation website: a resource for the legal community

The CBA is committed to answering the calls of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. A central premise of the CBA’s ongoing work is to provide a hub of resources and information to lawyers across Canada to understand the truth and engage in reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.

Spotlight on new 2019-20 Board members

Six new members will take their seats on the CBA Board of Directors on Sept. 1, 2019. They will join President Vivene Salmon of Ontario and Vice-President Brad Regehr of Manitoba, along with six board members who are entering the second year of their two-year terms.
