The Women Lawyers Forum Pathways to Power series has inspired women for more than five years. Now, the flagship professional development program has gained international recognition, as the CBA-WLF is the recipient of the 2020 Outstanding Member Program Award by the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations (NCWBA).

Catherine McKenzie of the IMK firm in Montreal is the 2020 recipient of the Volunteer in Profile Award for her pro bono work in defence of fundamental rights and freedoms.

It is hard to believe that we have passed the two-month mark since COVID-19 disrupted our daily routines. We have had to quickly adapt to working from home and the term physical distancing has become part of our daily lexicon.

The SIRD Project worked with local partners to host the first "physically distanced" sensitization event in Fingirika Village, Kenya in April 2020. Officials presented potentially life-saving information and sanitation materials to residents in Kwale county’s mining villages.

More than 25,000 CBA members participate in National Sections. Now, the CBA is looking for leaders for each of the 41 National Sections that represent practice areas and demographic or professional groups.
