The CBA Business Law Section is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Langlois Prize Law Student Essay Contest:
Best English paper: Tamya Chowdhury for her paper entitled Lessons from Uber v Heller: the case for UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration Reform. Tamya received her JD with Distinction from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in April 2021.
Best French Paper: Sina Faraji for his paper entitled “L’interprétation des contrats en droit des affaires et la règle du texte clair : une confusion jurisprudentielle”. Sina is a recent graduate of the Université de Montréal Law Faculty where he earned a Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.B.) and a Juris Doctor of Common Law (J.D.).
The award was established to promote and reward interest in business law in Canadian law schools and to promote participation by Canadian law students in the national Business Law Section.
