The voice of the legal profession in Canada is looking for members to get involved in the work of the CBA, by joining National Board Committees and Subcommittees for 2020-21.
The application period is now underway for CBA members to serve on Board committees or subcommittees. Applications opened on Monday, April 9 and close on Monday, May 4, 8 p.m. ET.
Four Board Committees—Finance, Governance and Equality, Policy, and Audit—support association decision-making, coordinate the CBA’s policy activities and engage volunteers. Positions are available on the Policy, Governance and Equality, and Audit committees.

National Section Executive elections approaching
The CBA is in the midst of its election period for 2020-21. Coming soon are elections for Section executive members. The application period opens on April 30 and will close on June 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
The CBA has 41 National Sections that provide education, resources and opportunities to members, and also address legal issues, regulations and national trends. More than 25,000 volunteers participate in CBA National Sections, serving members’ professional needs by sharing their leadership skills, experience and insights.
Board of Director elections on the horizon
Campaigning for CBA Board of Directors positions begins on May 19. This year, members in Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Prince Edward Island and Yukon will elect new board representatives.
