Start off the new decade by joining with your CBA counterparts and participating in the 2020 Annual General Meeting. Registration for the 2020 AGM, to be held on February 19, is now open.
CBA members can come to Ottawa or join from hubs spread out across the country. Individuals participating via hub locations will have all the opportunities to influence events as those in the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in the nation’s capital.
Each year, the policy direction of the CBA is set at the AGM through debate and voting on resolutions submitted by members. The last date to propose a resolution for 2020 was Monday, December 9.
The next stage of the resolutions process starts on January 16, when they are posted online, each with its own discussion board. Any member can log in and post comments. Members will also be able to post documents to support their arguments on the board.
If you wish to propose an amendment to any resolution, it must be submitted by January 31, 2020. Tamra Thomson, Executive Director of Advocacy, oversees the amendment process.
