Young lawyers looking for a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience working on legal issues abroad should consider the 2018 Young Lawyers International Program. Participants will help bring positive changes to access to justice and the rule of law in developing countries while at the same time immersing themselves in different cultures.
Those applicants who are chosen will start training in Canada this summer for placement this fall in one of 10 areas: Southern Africa (South Africa, Namibia, Madagascar), East Africa (Kenya), the Caribbean (Guyana), Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan), Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Myanmar), and Eastern Europe and the Balkans (Ukraine, Serbia).
The current four-year program will accept 32 applicants each year.
The application deadline for this year is May 4.
