In September, former President René Basque travelled to Rome to participate in a conference hosted by the Consiglio Nazionale Forense, the Italian version of the Canadian Bar Association.
This year Italy is the Chair of the G7 so it’s sponsoring a lot of events to happen in conjunction with the meeting of the world’s economic powerhouses, including a conference Sept. 14-15 held by the CNF. Bar Association presidents from all G7 countries, as well as expert speakers, were invited to speak on the topic of privacy and security.
René Basque gave his speech on Sept. 14, the text of which can be found on the conference website. The CBA was also a signatory to the final statement.
