In March our professional development department will launch its brand new Solutions Series – a set of eight webinars that respond directly to requests from members for help in developing their soft skills.
The live webinars will run every other Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern time, from March until June. Recordings of the webinars will also be available later online.
The webinars are designed to appeal to a broad audience, regardless of practice area – generally anyone who wants it to be easier and less stressful to practise law. Presenters for the series include a mix of lawyers and consultants with expertise in each topic.
The webinar Finding Clients: Business Development for Lawyers kicks off the series on March 10. It will be presented by Jane Southren, a business development advisor and Principal at Jane Southren Consulting in Toronto, and Jodi Kovitz, who is responsible for client and business development at Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt. Southren and Kovitz will walk you through proven strategies and approaches to business development, including the push and pull considerations of client engagement and how to capitalize on opportunities to build a successful and sustainable book of business.
