A little preventive legal health can keep small legal issues from growing into huge legal problems.
That’s the purpose of the Promoting Preventive Legal Health toolkit. Its aim is to help lawyers help their clients by developing the skills of preventive lawyering.
Integrating this idea of promoting preventive legal health into a given legal practice “requires subtle shifts in the culture of law firm services and concrete changes in the tenor of lawyer-client interactions,” the toolkit says, starting with seeing the lawyer as trainer rather than litigator.
The toolkit helps lawyers work through that paradigm shift, and works with them to develop their preventive lawyering skills.
