Advocacy on Notice of Debt

The CBA Labour and Employment section has been reaching out to the Federal Government relating to advocacy on simplifying Notice of Debt requirements. In the current political climate it may not be the biggest issue, but it is a long-term goal of the executive to identify and provide advocacy on issues that are important to the L&E membership. If you are interested in providing feedback relating to Notices of Debt and how they can be simplified, please contact Andrew Monkhouse at andrew@monkhouselaw.com.

CBA Essay Contest

Let your students know of the CBA Labour and Employment Essay Contest which closes on April 25, 2025. This is a great way for your students to write about interesting Intellectual Property topics while planting a flag on their career paths.

New Executives

The CBA L&E section is proud to welcome new Members at Large, Leigh Stanfield (British Columbia), Miranda Grayson (Manitoba), and Lluc Cerda (Alberta). We are glad to have them coming on to the executive and especially for them providing strong central to western Canadian bench strength to our executive.

All executives can be found here.

Stay engaged with us as we continue to bring you exceptional programming and valuable networking opportunities. We can’t wait to see you at our upcoming events.

Warm regards,

Andrew Monkhouse
