Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage private M&A transactions from start to finish from deal structuring, negotiation, and drafting, to overseeing due diligence and closings.
- Draft, review, and advise on construction contracts, corporate, real estate, joint venture, financing, and general commercial agreements throughout the construction lifespan.
- Develop construction sector knowledge and understanding of the technical and legal issues that affect construction projects and businesses within the construction sector.
- Provide client-oriented, practical legal advice on corporate transactions.
- Collaborate with firm leaders to drive firm development and growth.
Required Qualifications
- 3–8 years of corporate commercial law experience, with a focus on private M&A and general corporate and commercial law.
- Outstanding drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Client and results focused with a “can-do attitude” for the big or small tasks while being to able to work both independently and within a team.
- Grit, resilience, and creativity.
- Member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
Preferred Additional Experience
- Knowledge and experience related to construction law and the construction industry.
- Solid understanding or experience with partnerships and joint ventures, finance, and real estate transactions.
- Aboriginal law or commercial real estate experience.
- Interest in business development and entrepreneurial roles.

Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and is competitive with Vancouver market salaries.
